The uniqueness of our concept is that the folk musicians and the villagers are at the forefront of their own development process. That’s the main reason why Kala Varso is able to create impact at the ground level despite bare minimal resources
1. Continue the revival of Reyan concept in villages
2. Create platforms for the folk musicians to perform at various events in India and abroad
3. Archiving, and social media campaigns
Revival of Reyan concept is the foundation based on which our development work will be built upon. This step is very important as the participation of the folk musicians, Gram Panchayat, and the villagers is voluntary – the success of a Reyan depends on how well these stakeholders co-ordinate with each other.
Their self-participation also shows whether or not they are interested in their musical heritage and its revivals. Otherwise the entire project will look like an intellectual project if the concept does not resonate at ground level.
